Malaysian-Inspired Snowskin 'Lapis' Mooncakes
For the recent Mid-Autumn Festival, the Pretty Cupcake Ideas team have come up with a new Malaysian-Inspired Snowskin 'Lapis' Mooncake.
New flavours are green tea with red bean and durian 'pengat', a combination of durian and pandan flavours. Drawing inspiration from the Nyonya kuih lapis and Sarawak kek lapis, we have decided to make 'lapis' mooncakes for the special occasion this year.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is also known as Mooncake Festival or Lantern Festival and is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month in the lunar calendar by the Chinese.
Do keep coming back to our page for more special dessert and delicacies that we have for other festivities as well!
